Stars Talk with Shivin Narang at Box Cricket league

Shivin Narang, who played the lead role of Yuvraj Singh in the TV show Suvreen Guggal - Topper of the year, is all set to don the role of cricketer Yuvraj Singh on the Box Cricket league field. Cricket is his passion and Sachin Tendulkar is his guru, shares the young actor.

What prompted you to be a part of cricket team Jaipur Raj Joshile?
Last year, there was a trial session of BCL and I was a part of this BCL team. I really enjoyed and all my friends are a part of BCL. So that is one reason which prompted me to be a part of the cricket team Jaipur Raj Joshile. And other than this, I am very passionate about cricket. I love playing cricket. As an actor and as a person I enjoy BCL.

Did you ever play cricket in your childhood?
Yes I used to play lot of cricket in my childhood with my friends.

Do you follow cricket matches?
I used to follow cricket matches when Sachin Tendulkar was a part of Indian team and I am crazy about him. Now I don't follow matches as I am also busy with my schedule.

Who is your favourite cricketer and why?
Sachin Tendulkar is my favourite because of his batting and also overall performance and Shoaib Akhtar for his balling.

What do you like the most - bowling or batting and why?
I like bowling the most. I like fast bowling and I am fast bowler.

Is playing cricket a stress buster too?
Yes playing cricket is a stress buster. After a hectic day, when we practice, it's a superb workout for our body.

Which other game do you like, apart from cricket?
I like volleyball, football and table tennis.

Which cricketer would you like to meet and play cricket with?
I would love to play cricket with Sachin Tendulkar . I want Sachin Ji to bat for me and I will do bowling.

How do you manage cricket practice and shooting?
My internal passion for cricket pulls me for cricket practice. And I make sure I attend my practice even after hectic day.

Who are your team owners? And what you feel about them?
My team owners are Kamya Punjabi and Rajeev Thakkur. They never make us feel they are our team owners. They are very supportive, understanding and very friendly. We just talk about cricket, we don't talk about other things. Our whole team focus is on cricket.

What is your viewpoint on Ekta Kapoor launching BCL cricket matches as a TV reality show?
Ekta Ma'am is very brilliant and she thinks out of the box always. TV is all about Balaji and whatever new has come on television is because of Ekta Kapoor . She makes everything new and possible.

Who is your favourite team member?
Rajeev Thakur and Karan Patel are my favourite team members.

What was your reaction when you came to know BCL this year would be televised?
I was really happy to know that BCL this year would be televised as viewers will get to see something really different. There will be no dialogues. We just have to play and enjoy the game.
