"The role of Akbar has been played by two phenomenal actors namely Prithviraj Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in movies. Hence, I feel privileged to essay this role. But unlike them who essayed his positive behaviour, I'm portraying the negative side of Akbar in the show 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap'," Krip said in a statement.

The show has not only won the Best Historical Show award but also bagged the Best Child Actor Award - Faisal Khan, Best Supporting Actor (Male) award - Shakti Anand and Best Supporting Actor (Female) award - Rajshri Thakur.
Sareeka to enter Maharana Pratap and Buddha

Currently seen in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the actress has been signed on to play pivotal roles in historical shows Bharat Ka Veer Putra: Maharana Pratap and Buddha. Expectantly, Sareeka is excited about becoming part of the two shows.
While she will play Rani Veerbai Jhaala, who gets married to Maharana Uday Singh in Maharana Pratap, she will play Maanvika in Buddha. Says she, "Both the roles are very interesting and pivotal. The two kings will fight for me in Maharana Pratap as even Maaldev Rao wants to marry me, but I tie the knot with Maharana Uday eventually.

Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap is a historical drama based on the Indian patriotic hero from Rajasthan, Maharana Pratap. Maharana Pratap was a brave and powerful King of the 16th century, who ruled the kingdom Mewar. Time and again he raised his sword to battle the Afgans, Mughals, Turk invaders from entering his kingdom. After his father’s demise he was the only child amongst his siblings to continue his fight against the Mughal invaders, while the rest joined hands with Mughal King Akbar. Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap not only depicts the achievements of this brave warrior but also traces the journey of young Pratap who grew up to be a king by escaping his death, plotted by many of adversaries innumerable times. His earned the title of Maharana by displaying his bravery on battle field and humbleness with his citizens off the field. |
