Woman consumes acid after husband refuses to take her to watch 'Happy New Year'

Yes you read it right! Well, here is a story that will leave you shell-shocked! A 21-year-old married woman consumed acid just because her husband refused to take her to watch the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year!

The incident took place in Khaniya Dana, north of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and it has been reported that Neha Sen asked her husband Vishal to take her for the recently released Shah Rukh Khan starrer, but he refused saying the theatre would be overcrowded as the festive season had kicked in.

She was then rushed to the nearest hospital and after recording her statement she was shifted to Gwalior hospital. The woman’s internal organs were burnt due to the excessive consumption of acid and her condition is now critical. The police are still investigating the issue.
