"Was apprehensive getting into films for the stigma it carries" says Krutika Gaikwad

The beautiful Krutika Gaikwad who debuted on small screen with a Marathi dance reality show and went ahead bagging a meaty role in Star Plus' Maayke Se Bandhi Ek Dor will now be seen in a movie.

An elated Krutika shares that it was her dream to be seen on a big screen and the movie 'Aashiyana' has helped her to achieve her dream. Krutika has earlier done shows like Shubh Vivaah and was last seen in Star Plus' Meri Bhabhi.

She further says, "Like every actor aspires to hit the big screen some day, my aspirations were no different. However, I was very apprehensive getting into movies for the stigma it carries but this one changed my perception. When the director narrated the project, I was amazed with not just the story line but the depth in which every character was portrayed. Authenticity is the next big celebrity and that is what this movie is all about."

Talking about her role, Krutika reveals, "In this movie I am playing a central character named Priya. She is a homely girl who belongs to a strict lower middle class family. She is not allowed to take any decisions of her own but when it reaches the threshold she emerges as a strong and eminent person."

"The experience of doing a film, particularly this one with such a strong social message was amazing. This project has changed my perception about judging a person by his profession and I am confident that this movie will bring about a similar change in the audience's as well," she shares her experience.
