Comedy Nights with Kapil to go off air in September

Eversince the news about ace comedian Kapil Sharma doing his first Bollywood film has come out, speculations have been rife that his hit comic show Comedy Nights with Kapil might go off- air. And now according to the latest update that we have received, the show will bid adieu in the month of September 2014.

Sources inform that the show will go off-air in September and will be back with new characters.

Moreover, Kapil, who plays Bittu Sharma on the show went ahead to tweet about the same.

Kapil tweeted, "'Comedy nights' is going off air from september.. V will come back with new characters n new set.. Till den.. Keep smiling :),"

He also thanked for the love and support of the viewers, "Thnk u so much for ur love for comedy nights. Keep smiling n stay happy :),"

In the past few weeks Comedy Nights with Kapil has seen continuously huge drops in his TRP Ratings. In week 23 TAM ratings, the show was even unable to make a place in the top 10 show.

Well, this news will definitely come as a shocker to all the fans of Comedy Nights with Kapil, who enjoy watching the show over the weekend.

The channel was unavailable for any comment.

The show has been lauded by celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Sonakshi Sinha.
